Yuma holds on against Somerton

Somerton scored five runs in the seventh, but it wouldn’t be enough as they fell 12-7 on Saturday at Desert Sun Stadium.
Brandon Mims, who went 3 for 5 with two stolen bases, started off the scoring for Yuma, scoring off a Deaun Williams double. The Scorpions would get three more runs across the plate to take a 4-0 lead heading into the bottom of the first.
Lucas Shaw hit a solo home run for the Scorpions.
In other Winter League action, Long Beach blanked Canada 12-0, Saskatchewan topped Blythe 5-4 and Arizona beat Calexico 8-4.
