ON DECK: Storming the court not a big deal

Usually I use this space to rail against something that is ticking me off.

Sometimes it's used to write about something I like. Not often, but enough.

Today I am writing about something I couldn't care less about — court storming.

It seems the national sports media wants me worked up one way or another about fans rushing onto the floor after their college team gets an upset. It used to be a big upset, but now any ol' upset will do.

So apparently I'm supposed to be cool with it cause kids will be kids. Or I'm supposed to hate it because it's a safety issue or I'm a fuddy duddy or something.

But really, I can't say I care. Why does this matter? Some coaches have been complaining about safety, but that doesn't really seem like a big issue so much as being showed up.

No one has been able to tell me why to care. And even if they could, I doubt I would.
