Raiders represent at big swim meet

Gila Ridge's Reh 4th in two events

The Cibola boys swim team finished 10th out of at least 23 teams competing at the 9th Annual Speedo High School Classic Invitational at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center in Tucson Saturday.
 
The Raider boys scored 66 points, led by Andrew Russell-Cheung's second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 2.57 seconds. He also took ninth in the 200 individual medley.
 
Ryan Keough was 14th in the 100 breast, Jake Kaba was 16th in the 100 back and 100 butterfly, and 1-meter diver Jon Smith was ninth. Cibola also earned points from its 200 free and 200 medley relay teams.
 
Gila Ridge's Emily Reh was fourth in the 50 free (25.06) and the 100 free (55.79) to give Gila Ridge 30 points at a 14th-place team finish.
 
Cibola divers Maggie McClure (11th) and Ashley Pena (13th) scored a total of 10 points for the Lady Raiders, who were 18th overall.
 
Kofa's swim team also competed at the Invitational, but did not accrue any points.
