Hawks sweep 4-way

The Gila Ridge boys and girls cross country teams ran away with victories Wednesday at Kofa.
The Hawk boys finished with 29 points, led by medalist Shyane Hengesh, who finished in 17 minutes, 51 seconds. Lake Havasu was second with 33 and San Luis third with 76. Kofa took fourth with 114 points, paced by Leo Barrengo's 19:10, good for 11th.
The Haw girls finished with 26 points, paced by Loren Cradic's 22:31, good for second behind Havasu's Jeanette Campos (21:39). The Knights were second (35) and San Luis third with 97. Paulina Sanchez finished in 24:32 for the Sidewinders. Kofa, which only had three runners, was led by Ruth Hanson's 23:43.
