ON DECK: Tebow Time
If only they had Tebow.
That's what the faithful Tebow fans will be saying after Denver's 38-35 overtime loss to the Ravens last night.
It was eerily familiar. The Broncos came out for the coin toss at Mile High Stadium a year ago. But with Tebow and mystical winning powers, they won the toss and scored an 80-yard touchdown to end the game.
This time, though, Manning wasn't so lucky. They lost the toss, went back and forth with possession, and Manning finally surrendered the coffin-nailing interception late into the first overtime period.
But could Tebow honestly do better? Of course not.
Tebow had two touchdowns in regulation last year. One passing, one rushing. Manning had five last night, all passing. Say all you want about his winning ways, but Tebow just wouldn't be able to compete with Flacco, let alone complete 50 percent of his passes.
Tebow's not a winner. He was just a good guy with a great defense.
