Shamrock girls take 2nd, boys place 3rd at Joy Christian

Adriana Solorzano finished seventh with a time of 22 minutes, 45 seconds to help the Yuma Catholic girls to a second-place finished at a ten-school meet at Joy Christian on Saturday.
Louise Scholle (24:32) took 15th and her sister Patricia Scholle (24:36) took 17th for the Shamrocks. Loretta Peffers (21st) and Sydney Compton (22nd) also helped boost Yuma Catholic.
On the boys side, Jaime Casillas (18:45) finished 11th, Becket Edwards (18:59) took 14th and Adam Gump (19:06) placed 15th to give Yuma Catholic a third-place finish. Adam Badilla (19:32) and Rico Jaramillo (19:58) finished 19th and 28th, respectively.
