Matadors lose twice at Pima

Pima bested Arizona Western's softball team 9-8 with a two-run seventh inning, then turned the momentum into a 5-1 victory in the second game to end the Matadors' (29-22-1, 17-15 ACCAC) season.
Pima clinched a playoff spot with the two wins.
"We were able to persevere and the girls kept us in a close game against the team that had everything to play for," coach Angel Shamblin said. "I'm proud of our girls on the great season they gave all of us."
