A final tribute was given to Rural Metro Fire Capt. and paramedic David Irr who died while on duty in his sleep at Fire Station #2 Saturday night. Firefighters from around the state joined local personnel in a procession of emergency vehicles.
An alfalfa stack catches fire near County 14th St. and Avenue 3E on Wednesday afternoon sending plumes of smoke into the sky. Firefighters from Rural/Metro were on scene.
