In a game that was back-and-forth throughout with 13 ties and eight lead changes, Cochise came out on top with a 72-68 win over Arizona Western on Saturday at The House in the NJCAA Region I Division I title game.
The Lady Matadors' early lead was too much for the Pima Aztecs to overcome in a 68-52 AWC win on Friday - the Matadors' 19th straight win. The win, with Central Arizona's win at Glendale, earn the team a tie for first place in tte ACCAC.
