A man was shot and killed this morning by a Yuma Police Department officer after attacking a Yuma Police Dept. special enforcement team with a weapon, according to YPD.
Yuma Police officers responded to a call Wednesday morning that a man was holding his elderly mother hostage and may have weapons. The suspect was talked out of the home peacefully and both he and his mother were sent to YRMC for evaluation.
