McDonald's demolished for new building

The existing McDonald's restaurant at 2560 S. 4th Avenue is no more and a new 4,592-square-foot building with a 1,500-square-foot play area, dual ordering lanes and two service windows will be built in its place. Yuma Sun & loaned video/Noemi Magaña

Habitat for Humanity held a frame-a-thon event to start building their newest home in Wellton. The project will continue each Saturday from 7 a.m. to about 2 p.m. Habitat for Humanity is still accepting volunteers to build; RSVP by calling 783-3993.
