Cibola senior Alex Meraz earned his second-straight title on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Jobing.com Arena. He defeated Sunnyside's Isai Gomez 3-1 in the 5A Div. II 140 pound state final.

Meraz won a 5A Div. I state title in 2007 at 135 pounds.
