An Arizona Public Service crew replaces a power pole on U.S. 95 between Ave. 4E and 5E Tuesday. The existing pole was sheared off when a passing vehicle caught the lines at approximately 9 a.m., interrupting service to APS customers in the area.

A block of Arizona Avenue was closed for several hours Monday afternoon after a semi-truck hit an overhead power line resulting in power loss in the area. The Yuma Sun was without power for 30 minutes as APS workers worked to fix an electrical pole.
