Professional mixed martial arts fighter Carlos “The Yuma Prodigy” Flores talked with students at O.C. Johnson Elementary School about not becoming a bully.
Students from Yuma area high schools met on 16th Street Wednesday (5-5-10) to protest Arizona Law SB 1070, which is aimed at identifying those in Arizona who are in the country illegally.
The Gila Monsters robotics team competed in the 2012 Arizona Regional FIRST Robotics Competition last week and placed 24th. The team, made up of 12 high school students, competed against 50 teams from Arizona, New Mexico, Brazil, Canada and Mexico.
