Yuma Police officers responded to a call Wednesday morning that a man was holding his elderly mother hostage and may have weapons. The suspect was talked out of the home peacefully and both he and his mother were sent to YRMC for evaluation.
A man and a woman were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center after a rollover collision Thursday evening at about 6:10 p.m. at 4th Avenue and 22nd St. Both drivers, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
John Cody Heggs, 25, was charged with three counts of arson and one count of criminal damage. He was arraigned in Yuma Justice Court before Justice of the Peace Manny Figueroa, who ordered Heggs be held on a $35,000 cash bond. MEDIA POOL VIDEO/KSWT
