The Kofa High Royalaires sang at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services' citizenship ceremony Thursday (9-23-10) at the Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park. Border Patrol agents presented the colors during the ceremony.

After a heartfelt national anthem sung by 14-year-old Selena Barrera, U.S. Magistrate Judge James F. Metcalf and John Kramar, district director for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, ushered 97 immigrants to became naturalized citizens.

Yuma City Councilman Paul B. Johnson was sworn into office with the help of his granddaughter Danae. This will be Johnson's third term as a city council member.

Jerry Stuart was sworn in, with the help of his wife Lenore, Wednesday (1-6-10) as a member of the Yuma City Council by Judge Andrew Gould.
