Corona del Sol scored on four of its five first-half possesions, while the Aztec defense held the Raiders without another scored until the fourth quarter in a 39-14 win over Cibola at Raider Field on Friday (9-30-11).

The Cibola Raiders won 11-3 over the Kofa Kings Saturday (4-9-11).

Kofa struggled in the first half of Friday night's game against Cibola at Doan Field. The Raiders were up 26-0 at the half.

The San Luis offensive slump continued Wednesday at Cibola, as the Sidewinders left nine runners on base in a 5-1 loss to the Raiders, Cibola’s third win against San Luis this year — all in non-Gila Valley Region games.

Avondale-Westview fought off Cibola's two match points to win Game 4, and then started fast in Game 5 to defeat the Raiders 25-20, 19-25, 16-25, 27-25 and 15-13 at Raider Gym. Video by Jared Dort and Janet Chasse
