Roger Gutierrez, a foreman with Underground Construction, out of Phoenix, takes a break to get a cool drink of water while working Thursday morning on the gas line project o Avenue B between 16th Street and 32nd Street. Gutierrez said he and his crew were bracing for another hot day after Wednesday's 113 degree day. According to the City of Yuma, "A contractor working for Southwest Gas will replace a gas line on Avenue B from 16th Street to 32nd Street, followed by work in cross streets 20th Street, 24th Street, 25th Street, 26th Street and 32nd Street." The project will run through end of September. Motorists should expect lane closures on Avenue B and some possible turn restrictions.
