When it comes to hidden treasure, “American Pickers” stars Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz are the best huntsmen in the business.
You may have caught the docuseries on the History Channel, where the duo travels coast-to-coast combing for valuable antiques in need of a “new lease on life.” In February, they’re bringing their search to the southwest and looking for Arizonans with extraordinary items and fascinating tales tied to America’s past — particularly “different, unusual and unique” they’ve never seen before.
If you or a Yuman you know has a collection worth “picking” through, leave a message at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-855-OLD-RUST (653-7878) with your name, phone number, where you and your collection are located and a description of your items. If you’re sending an email, be sure to include a few photos as well.
The team only picks private collections, so any businesses, flea markets, museums, auctions or other public displays won’t be chosen.
The casting team will finalize the show’s southwestern route by the end of January and determine whether Yuma is on the map. In the meantime, updates will be posted on Facebook @GotAPick.
