3 killed in SLRC on Thursday

SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, Son. -- Three men were fatally shot in two separate incidents all occurring on Thursday in San Luis Rio Colorado.

Municipal police said the first shooting occurred before noon at a grocery story located on Calle 9 between Avenidas Tuxpan and Tuxpan B, on the city’s south side.

In a news release, police said the victim, a 35-year-old unidentified man, was gunned down by another man he had followed into the store. The shooter fled on foot and had not been arrested as of Thursday night.

The second shooting occurred about 6 p.m. in a restaurant located on Obregon Avenue, between Calles 26 and 27, on the northeast side.

Two men were fatally shot by two other subjects described as young, police said.

The victims were not immediately identified and no suspects had been arrested as of Thursday.

Other diners were in the restaurant at the time of the shooting, but none were injured.

The homicides were turned over to state police for investigation.
