A Yuma man was arrested early Friday morning for allegedly firing several gunshots into the air outside a Jack in the Box restaurant.
According to information provided by the Yuma Police Department, officers responded to the eatery, which is located in the 2600 block of West 16th Street at about 1:30 a.m. in reference to an initial report of a disturbance involving a male subject with a gun.
When they arrived, officers learned that an unidentified male subject had fired several rounds into the air and fled the scene.
Officers were able to track the suspect, later identified as 27 year-old Alexander Soto, where he was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
There were no reported injuries in the incident.
Soto was booked into Yuma County jail on charges of disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct-fighting, both of which are felonies.
He made his initial appearance in Yuma Justice Court later the same day before Justice of the Peace Greg Stewart, at which time bond was set at $15,000.
Soto is scheduled to return to Yuma Justice Court at 1 p.m. Tuesday, where he will be informed whether a criminal complaint has been filed against him, and what, if any, offenses, he is being charged with.
