Yuma police have released the name of the 40-year-old man killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash Sunday night in the 7000 block of East 32nd Street. He has been identified as Michael Guinn of Yuma.

According to Yuma police, the crash happened at about 6:53 p.m. when Guinn, who was traveling westbound on 32nd Street, was struck by another vehicle, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle and crash.

The other vehicle involved did not stop and fled the scene, but with the parts obtained at the scene during the investigation, it has been determined that it was a 2004-2012 Chevy Malibu.

Guinn was pronounced dead at the scene.

As a result of the collision, 32nd Street between Avenue 7E and Avenue 8E was closed in both directions for several hours while the crash was being investigated..
