A New Hampshire woman can't understand why everyone's making a big deal about digging up her father's coffin.
She admits that she was looking for the "real will," but she un-planted her father "with respect." She throws in for good measure that he would have been "OK with it."
The bad news continues for this poor, misguided but well-shoveled daughter. Articles say she was shocked to only find a pack of cigarettes nestled in her dead father's hand.
Anyone else shudder at that visual?
This story reminded me of my high school days helping a friend's family mow the cemetery. Mom taught me to never, ever step on a grave, so I would repeatedly run and JUMP as the push mower was propelled in front of me. Needless to say, that didn't work long. I finally had to just walk everywhere - but with respect.
