I find myself in a quandary.
Actually it’s more entertaining than anything.
The Green Bay Packers travel to Levi Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in the National Football Conference championship game.
Having been a Packers fan all of my life – my dad was born and grew up in a small town outside Milwaukee – I’m pulling for Green Bay to win and get to Super Bowl LIV.
On the other hand, during this year’s Yuma Sun Fantasy Football League, I picked up 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo – Aaron Rodgers was already taken – and he turned out to be an awesome acquisition, scoring a ton of points. I liked him so much, I did the unheard of: I became a closet 49ers fan. Please, don’t tell my dad.
Anyway, on Sunday, my heart says Go Packers!
But there’s a part of me that wants to see the young gun shine and win, too.
Decisions, decisions. Maybe I’ll just watch “1st Big Sale of the Year Special” on the Home Shopping Network instead.
