FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -- Ford Proctor hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning, leading the Bowling Green Hot Rods to a 3-1 win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps on Monday.

The home run by Proctor, part of a three-run inning, gave the Hot Rods a 2-1 lead before Roberto Alvarez hit an RBI single later in the inning.

In the bottom of the seventh, Fort Wayne broke a scoreless tie on a single by Agustin Ruiz that scored Dwanya Williams-Sutton.

Alan Strong (1-1) got the win in relief while Angel Acevedo (0-2) took the loss in the Midwest League game.

Bowling Green improved to 3-1 against Fort Wayne this season.
